Singapore Family Office
A Singapore Family Office refers to the establishment of two companies by the main applicant in Singapore: a fund company and a family office. Through the family office, the main applicant can engage in investment management and oversee their own assets, while benefiting from the tax exemption program provided by the Monetary Authority of Singapore for family offices. Additionally, the main applicant can obtain an Entrepreneur Pass (EP) as a self-employed professional, enabling them to achieve immigration to a major country, plan and allocate their assets, and facilitate wealth succession. After holding the EP for a minimum of 6 months and meeting the requirements, the main applicant can apply for Singapore permanent residency (PR). The spouse and unmarried children under 21 years old can apply for Dependant's Pass (DP), while parents can apply for Long-Term Visit Pass (LTVP) for extended stays in Singapore.
Singapore Family Office Application Requirements
1. Minimum liquid assets of at least SGD 1,000,000, with a commitment to managing assets reaching a scale of SGD 20,000,000 within two years
2. The main applicant must be 21 years old or above, demonstrating the capability and suitability for asset management
3. Ability to provide a comprehensive explanation of wealth accumulation process and the sources of funds
4. No criminal or adverse records
5. Operational expenditure of at least SGD 200,000 per year
6. Each structure must have a minimum of two asset managers
7. 10% of the total managed assets must be invested in Singapore
